Arabic-language tutorials on APIs, web scraping, and analysing Arabic search engine results.

This site publishes technical tutorials in Arabic for developers across the Arab world. Explanations are in Modern Standard Arabic; technical terms, identifiers and code stay in English, because that is what developers actually search for.

Web developer from Morocco, writing in Arabic about APIs and search engine data extraction.

Editorial focus

  • APIs and structured web data, with runnable code in Python, JavaScript and cURL.
  • Search engine result data — and specifically how Arabic queries behave across regional Google domains, which almost nobody writes about.
  • An Arabic ↔ English glossary of technical terms, so translations stay consistent across posts.

  • One Market or Five? Measuring Arabic SERP Overlap Across Three Countries — A follow-up study testing whether Arabic search results genuinely fragment across Arab markets. Using Jaccard similarity over top-10 domain sets from google.com.eg, google.com.sa and google.ae, mean pairwise overlap was 0.23 — but the aggregate hides the real finding. Overlap tracks intent locality on a clean gradient: educational queries share 59% of their results across markets, while local commercial service queries share literally zero domains. The practical consequence is that pan-Arab content strategy works for informational intent and fails completely for commercial intent.
  • Search in Arabic and You Get Machine Translation: Measuring the Arabic Technical Content Gap — A measured study rather than an opinion piece. Using SerpApi across google.com.eg, google.com.sa and google.ae, I tracked five keywords related to search APIs. English-term queries return a stable, competitive SERP. Arabic-language queries for the same concepts return pages where translate.google.com occupies six of eight page-one slots — Google is serving machine-translated English because no native Arabic content exists to rank. Includes the full method, the open-source tracker, a negative result about Arabic keyword selection, and an explicit statement of what the data does not show.
  • Your First SerpApi Request in Five Minutes — A hands-on Arabic tutorial: sending a first request to the SerpApi Google Search endpoint in Python, JavaScript and cURL, reading the JSON response structure key by key, handling API keys safely with environment variables, and dealing with errors and pagination.
  • What Web Scraping Is, and Why You Need a SERP API — An Arabic-language introduction to web scraping for developers: how HTML parsing works, why search engine results are the hardest target to scrape reliably, and the engineering trade-off between maintaining your own scraper and calling a managed SERP API.
